Gardening in all it's glory...

Here are a few inspirational and creative ideas for using everyday items to add a little more green to this world, with a twist of course...

Sherry and Miguel of SmogShoppe created this beautiful vertical garden using recycled wool suits filled with soil as pouches for the plants, http://www.miguelnelson.com/smogshoppe.html
and it was inspired from French designer, Patrick Blanc, http://www.verticalgardenpatrickblanc.com/
Absolutely beautiful Green Grafitti installed by artist Edina Tokodi, adding a little bit of nature and environmental sensitivity to an urban environment,

Another great use of furniture in the garden

A way to bring the outdoors inside, and even though this grass isn't the real thing for indoors, it would be a great idea for an outdoor seating area to replace this with some wheat grass,

Furniture: From trash to treasure...

The idea of recycling, repurposing and reusing lately is so important. Each day I try to think of ways to recycle items in my own life. Every little bit helps and we all have the ablility to make a difference. No matter how small the contribution, when added to the rest of the little bits it will result in a big difference. Here are just a few beautiful examples of ways that trash can be turned into treasure through furniture!

Money Chair by Johnny Swing created from repurposed quarters, http://www.johnnyswing.com/

Mattress Chairs from the Madam Rubens Collection by Frank Willems, old matttresses connected to antique chair legs coated in a water resistant foam and painted (love these), http://www.frankwillems.net/

Upcycled table with newspaper clad legs by Jamie Ward, http://www.jamiewardfurniture.tk/

Newspaper furniture by David Stovell, http://www.stovelldesign.co.uk/sunday_papers.html

2. Inkuku Plastic Bag Chair by Ryan Frank constructed from plastic shopping bags, http://www.ryanfrank.net/
3. RD4 Chair by Richard G. Liddle/Cohda Designs constructed from 100% wasted plastic, http://www.cohda.com/page_t.php?page=products
4. Uhuru Scrap Stoolen constructed from off-cut scrap wood and held together by a recycled bicycle wheel, http://www.uhurudesign.com/work.php?p=4&s=46&t=35&w=2&b=74

The Avio chairs, created from discarded roadsigns and rebar, by Italian designer Alberto Dassasso for Vibrazioni, http://www.exibart.com/profilo/eventiV2.asp?idelemento=34269. The colors are so vibrant and beautiful, and the chair legs give them that extra quirkiness.

Look forward to many more images of gorgeous repurposed items and the talent behind them...
